Privacy Policy
Lilt is designed to work with your photos and videos without turning them into our data.
Lilt does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Photos and Videos
Lilt lets you select videos and other media to create and work with Live Photos.
Your photos and videos are processed on your device. Lilt does not upload your media to a Lilt-operated server, and we do not collect, store, sell, or use your photos or videos for advertising, analytics, profiling, or model training.
Lilt may create temporary files on your device while processing media. These files are used only to complete the requested operation.
When you save an output, it is stored in your Photo Library or shared to the destination you choose.
If you use Lilt through the iOS Share Extension, the media you send to Lilt is handled in the same way: locally on your device for the purpose of completing your request.
Photo Library Access
Lilt may request access to your Photo Library so that you can select media, view relevant media in the app, and save your finished Live Photos.
The level of access is controlled by iOS. You can change or revoke Lilt's Photo Library access at any time in your device's Settings.
Lilt uses Photo Library access only to provide these app features.
iCloud
Lilt uses Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage to synchronize a small amount of app state across devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
For example, Lilt may store the number of free conversions that have been used so that the free-use allowance behaves consistently across your devices and after reinstalling the app.
This iCloud data does not contain your photos or videos and is not used for advertising, analytics, or profiling.
The storage and synchronization of this information is provided by Apple and is subject to your iCloud settings and Apple's applicable terms and privacy practices.
Purchases
Lilt offers purchases through Apple's App Store and StoreKit.
Payments are processed by Apple. Lilt does not receive or store your payment card or banking information.
Lilt may access purchase and entitlement information provided through StoreKit when necessary to determine whether paid features have been unlocked or to restore a previous purchase.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Lilt does not include third-party advertising SDKs.
Lilt does not include third-party analytics SDKs.
Lilt does not track you across apps or websites and does not sell personal information.
Apple may provide developers with App Store, purchase, crash, or diagnostic information through Apple's developer services according to Apple's own systems and your device settings. Lilt does not add its own tracking or remote analytics system to your media-processing activity.
Location Information
Lilt does not request your device's location in order to determine where you are.
Photos and videos can contain metadata, including location information. Lilt only handles such metadata as part of working with the media you select.
Where Lilt provides an option to remove location information from an export, that choice applies to the resulting media you create.
Data Retention
Because Lilt does not operate user accounts or a backend service for your media, we do not maintain a server-side library of your photos, videos, or conversion history.
Media and temporary processing data remain on your device.
Saved Live Photos or other outputs remain wherever you choose to save them until you delete them.
Small amounts of Lilt app state may be synchronized through Apple's iCloud infrastructure as described above.
Your Choices
You can control Lilt's access to your Photo Library through iOS Settings.
You can control iCloud availability through your Apple Account and iCloud settings.
You can delete Lilt from your device to remove its locally stored app data. Media you previously saved to your Photo Library is not deleted when you remove Lilt.
Lilt does not maintain a user account or developer-operated server profile that requires a separate account-deletion process.
Children's Privacy
Lilt is not designed to collect personal information from children.
Photos and videos containing children are processed locally in the same manner as other media and are not uploaded to Lilt-operated servers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if Lilt's features or data practices change.
If we make a material change to how Lilt handles user data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
